Anazak Academics

Anazak stands for excellence in both academic and discipline. Each student is challenged to develop fully with vibrant desire to work for the development of school and each student progressively becomes a better person.

CURRICULUM

Subjects:

The school offers Tanzania national curriculum with English as a medium of instruction. The curriculum is tailor made to enable the children fit in any country in the world once they complete their primary education. The subjects taught in primary school include:

  • Math
  • English
  • Kiswahili
  • Science
  • Geography
  • History
  • Civics
  • Personality development and sports
  • Vocational studies
  • Information communication and technology
  • French

Examinations

The school conducts month end tests in January, May and September and midterm examinations in February, June and October. Midterm examination counts in the end term marks. The end term examinations are in the months of March, July and November.

We also participate in the private schools examinations (NGOPSO) for grade 4 and 7.

Examination results are sent to the parents.

Examination rules are very strict ,all pupils and parents must adhere to them.

Calendar

We would like to remind you that we do not authorize any holiday to be taken during term time and so please have regard to this. Attendance at school every day does make a difference to your child’s achievement and development; so please do not plan to take him out of school during term-time.

SCHOOL TERMS

The academic year starts in January and ends in December. There are three terms of fourteen (14) teaching and learning weeks. There is only a week midterm break in every Term.

Classes

We have small and manageable classes to help teachers get to know their pupils abilities and potentials and monitor their progress daily with care. Each class comprises of not more than twenty five  pupils.

Our lessons start at 8:20 am and ends at 3:00pm. However , we have Saturday classes which is optional but parents meet the cost and responsibility of bringing the children to school.
